It started as a quest to build the fastest hot melt wax. However, SILCA found a way to suspend micro-scale wax powders in a quick-drying carrier. The result is a coating that looks and runs like a dipped chain. Tungsten disulfide adds extra slip and wear protection. How to use it
Start with a very clean, dry chain, ideally prepped with SILCA Chain Stripper. Apply one drop to each roller while backpedalling, then let it dry for a few hours or overnight. Top up every few rides, before the chain starts to sound dry. For the best results, re-apply regularly rather than waiting for noise.
Good to know
A clean chain is the key to low friction. For the best results, start with a properly cleaned chain, re-apply before it runs dry, and keep a note of the distance between treatments so you learn what works for your riding.
