Why the Propel is a smart buy
First of all, the Propel is Giant’s aero race bike. Its Advanced-grade carbon frame and fork were shaped in the wind tunnel, so it stays fast on the flats and in the bunch. In addition, the Contact SL Aero bar and stem keep the front end clean.
Furthermore, this one has a strong build. For example, it runs wireless Shimano 105 Di2 12-speed shifting with hydraulic disc brakes. It also rolls on Giant SLR 2 50mm carbon hookless wheels with Vittoria Rubino tubeless-ready 28c tyres. As a result, it weighs just 8.36 kg on our workshop scale, without pedals.
On top of that, it has a few upgrades. For instance, there is a Shimano Ice Technologies RT-MT800 front rotor and a Bontrager Aeolus Comp saddle.
