Why choose the SILCA Secret Chain Blend?
It combines a blend of four refined waxes with a high dose of nano-scale tungsten disulfide in three particle sizes. Because of this, it does more than lubricate. It fills the tiny crevices in the chain metal with slippery, wear-resistant particles. As a result, waxed chains actually get faster over repeated treatments. How to use it
Melt the wax in a warmer or slow cooker. Dip a fully clean chain, or add a StripChip to skip degreasing. Agitate for a few minutes so the wax reaches the pins and rollers. Then hang the chain to drip and cool before fitting. Re-wax every few hundred kilometres.
Good to know
A clean chain is the key to low friction. For the best results, start with a properly cleaned chain, re-apply before it runs dry, and keep a note of the distance between treatments so you learn what works for your riding.
